Travel to Cai Be is the perfect journey to escape the noise of Saigon and relax for a weekend. The city is located a hundred kilometers south of Ho Chi Minh City, on the banks of the Mekong River. It is a city on a human scale, where it is good to ride a bike or motorcycle to discover the old colonial houses and get lost in the many canals of the delta.

It will take you 4 hours by motorbike to reach Cai Be from Ho Chi Minh City, breaks included; by car it is slightly faster (2 hours) or by bus for about 2h30 hours. We advise you to use Futa Bus or Vexere.
TRAVEL TO CAI BE - WHAT TO DO?
As a former colonial city, we can find in Cai Be vestiges of this era. Along one of the rivers crossing the city, several beautiful colonial houses are to be visited by bike. A well organized route has been set up to visit these historical monuments. In the heart of the city, you can also visit the semi-covered market and the church (Cai Be Church).
Rent a bike, take the boat in Cai Be and get lost on the island located in front of the city (Tan Phong) where you will enjoy its calm and the benevolence of the locals. In a few hours of ride, you will have a good first glimpse of the area.
If you have a full day, go by motorcycle to Vinh Long (1 hour drive) and take the boat to the island of Cu lao An Binh. It's nice to leave the motorbike as soon as you arrive and rent a bike to lose yourself for a day through the canals in lush vegetation. It is one of the most beautiful places in the Mekong delta.
